Tune: The Red, Red Robin

By Mary Evans

When our big brave Bobby comes Clippity-clip-clopping along, along
There'll be rejoicing
We'll all be voicing a hap-py song.

So chin up, chin up, you thoroughbred!
You're always out ahead -
You're strong, the doctor said -
Live long, run, and be happy!

That is our prayer for you -
We'll all be there with you
Singing our song

When our brave, sweet Bobby comes
Clippity-clip-clopping along, along
When our sweet brave Bobby comes
Clippity-clip-clopping along

Since Mary Evan's poem had such a lighthearted beat to Bobby's feet I found this other poem by Julia B. at Tim Woolley's that reminded me of how much we all need to lighten up a little and enjoy the outdoors. Bobby's love of grazing is something we need to think about and take time out to SIMPLY ENJOY OUR SURROUNDINGS a bit...a change of scenery as it were...
Even on cold, damp, rainy days when stuck indoors...remember Barbaro's love of grazing...remember the sunny great outdoors!

Here is a little something I wrote about Bobby's graze in the grass!

"Bobby's Graze In The Grass" by Julia B. (August 14, 2006)

      Good Mornin' sunshine....

The sun shine kisses my back,
and the breeze across my mane, whispers in my ear.
The sweet smell of grass on a summer morn.
      I feel free !!
I am awakened to the beauty that surrounds me !
I hear birds singing their joyful song,
      Telling me..Come fly away, it's a beautiful day !
      Ahh, I remember this feeling,
and the oh so sweet taste of life!
      I am alive !
      I am Barbaro !
